I have an 07 650 and I have to say that it is a pretty well running quad. I'd be a little skeptical buying one used because it tends to be ridden very hard, especially it if was set up for mud Check for the usual things like engine noises. The throttle should be very responsive and should not be bogging down at all. One weak area on these bikes are the frames so inspect the front end thoroughly to see if it's been n any type of collision or accident.

With wheel spacers check the bearings to make sure they're in good shape. Spacers put more strain on the suspension and bearings. As said, the frames on the pre-2012 first generation Can-Ams are a bit on the weak side. The spar frame is kind of on the thin side. This can be taken care of with a frame insert. We did this on both our Can-Ams. Skid plates are a good idea for the same reason. Also, the 4wd comes on more gradually than some people like. Again, after 2011 or so it's not as much of an issue. They made it engage quicker in newer model years. It works, it's just slower than other systems.
