Just got a 02 ds 650. looks great starts right up but as soon as i give it the littlest amount of throttle is cuts off? i suspect it floods out and needs carb work? what yall think? and also is the fan a must have ?

 

fan keep it from over heating when your idleing/putting around/in above freezing weather

you could have fuel flow problems when i would forget to turn on the gas it would start and idle off of what was in the carb bowl but any throttle and it would pop crack and die, so you might be running lean
