Default 2000 ds650 headlight

Hey guys im new to this site, i just got a 2000 ds650 like a month ago and while i was riding yesterday a buddy of mine was infront of me and i guess he picked up some rocks and broke my headlight😞, ive searched all over and cant find one to replace it, ive only seen the newer style on ebay, can anyone help please it really bugs me when i see my ds that i just got with a broken headlight. Where can i find one new or used? Help please

Old headlight out of production, but you can convert to newer design with some modifications.

I did not go this route. As you can see in my avitar, I have some cheapie $25 fog lights from Wally world installed. I just cut up a piece of flat steet to mount ot the three bolts that the headlight mounted too, and mounted the lights to the steel plate. These lights are 50 or 55 watt, but not as good as the stock headlight, but serve the purpose to get me around in the dark without running over anybody.

i got a pair of nice LED lights that attach right to the frame no modifications

I did the conversion. Really easy to do and well worth the extra effort.

Where did you get your parts. I just googled it and the assembly and 2 brackets came up to $115. Is there a cheaper alternative to gain the parts?
