The carb is a Mikuni HRS 45.Yes i would say that it's definantly worth it.I added the carb w/the ported manifold.he carb is exspensive if you do not buy the whole kit together.I think around $600.00.I bought a used st.1 off of Ebay and sold the pipe and rev to my Brother. So i paid $500 for the carb, twist throttle and manifold.A good deal. Some people don't like the carb because you cannot slam the throttle at a dead stop.TRUST me ,this does not hamper your speed or power.I didn't even notice it after an hour.I completely smoked a Raptor 3 days ago in about 300 yards by at least 10 links.Funny thing was my clutch was slipping pretty bad from the oil change.Maybe Woods will discount a bit if you buy the rest of the kit.

crashfirepm53, i've fixed the 45mm carb problem, i can twist mine open as fast as i can and have instant response. just get the accellerator pump shaft and boot from ron woods and install it, he'll send it to you free of charge, and you'll be happy like me, also i'm getting a return spring for the carb thats about half the strength of the one on it, from another source, i'll let you know when i get it dialed in.

need4aquad here is the info. It is the tail of the two Dyno’s. At Alba With their pipe, K&N Filter stock carb and new jet max hp 43.9 at Edelbrock 38 hp. Then the QwikSilver was added max HP 40 when it hit the Rev- limiter it all so stated to making more power at a lower RPM.

Jimmie,i got the pump from RW after i saw your post.Honestly looks like a pain to install(not to keen on drilling my carb) and it simply doesn't hamper my style.I might pay a pro to do it.I have it all, maybe i'll look at the directions to install.I also understand this doesn't solve the problem for everyone.

I just thought I'd let you know, I did not have to drill anything in order to install the pump shaft. Simply remove the bowl, then remove the screw that plugs the hole and slide the shaft in. It's really easy to do, even for the inexperienced.

As a side note though, I installed the pump from the word go, only to find out that it worked much better without it.

knutz, you were lucky then, but i did not drill much probably could have just reamed the hole a little, any way no biggy. and it does fix the problem if all you have is stage 1, dont know what you're gonna do for a 760.
