Default Front axle removal

2009 Outlander 500, busted inner front right boot. I've been unable to find any information on youtube or anywhere on the best procedure to remove the front axle. I can get it out...just not sure on what is the best (easiest) method. Looks like the brake caliper and brake rotor have to be removed?Does the outer joint have to come apart to replace the inner boot? If so, then I guess that the band on the outer boot will have to be removed. I didn't order a replacement for that, if it can't be re-used.

Did you run across this one at
I haven't had the chance to watch it, but it sounds like it could be able to help you.

Also, if you've had to replace the boot, check out American CV for good aftermarket parts. I know they have later years (think 2014) - may have earlier years as well for boot kits.
