I have a 2004 traxter max. I have just fixed a corroded wire in harnest that was causing the bike not to run. Now when I turn the key all lights come on and go out, except engine light, which is good. However when I start the bike and in idle the engine light stays on and it is solid. when I accelerate the throttle the light goes off. Puzzeled. Any suggestions and why this is happening? Wondering also where the diagnostic connector is on this machine.

 

Update with the 2004 traxter max. Now I am having a problem with down shifting in high. From 4th to 1st. Whatever particular gear the bike is in, when I go to gear down, I have to keep machine in high rpms in that gear before it will shift and it is not smooth. Works fine in low. Much appreciate some help.
