You can use anything you want but is it what the factory recommends? Unless your out west riding in a hot climate that sounds like a heavy oil. If you would run a full synthetic oil then viscosity makes little difference, in fact you can run a much lighter weight oil and get better protection than dino oil. Any oil is better than no oil and clean oil is better than premium dirty oil so......make your call. I run a 5-30 full synthetic year round and it gets cold in the winter and hot in the summer with out an issue and it meets the factory recommendations!!
