What did yours test at? Sounds like it must have been more than 93db?

 

It measured 101 at 3850 RPM, well above the 93 dB allowed for where I ride most of the time. I was totally shocked and disappointed. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

 

This is bad news my DS650 with the Custom-X-SeriesII is in the shop. The first thing I will due when I get it back it to tested it. Have you E-mail Peter in AU to see what he as to say.

 

Yes I have been trying to get a hold of him all week but I found out this morning he is away from home until Tuesday.

I was told by the Forest Service, that's who tested the pipe, that stock 650's run 88 to 90 dB. The next time I am down there with the stock pipe I will have them test it. They also said that they have not yet tested a DS or Raptor with an after market pipe that has met the 93 dB requirement. So now all they have to do is watch for non stock pipes on these quads and start testing. They frequently set up check points on the sand trails and flag people in, I was pretty disappointed to say the least.
