Default Coolant in oil in ds 650

So I picked up a ds 650 today for a good deal but there is always a reason for it being cheap and mine was that it has coolant in the oil. So the guy said he rebuilt the water pump and put new o rings and seals in it and thought he fixed the leak but after he changed the oil a couple times it was still milky and he said he thought it would have to be the head gasket and I was just wondering if there is anything that would cause that besides the head gasket. It starts and runs fine and the oil isn’t that bad it just has slight discoloration so I don’t know if he did fix it and didn’t change the oil enough and there is still some coolant in there from the water pump leaking or if it is the head gasket but I would like to know if there is anything I should check before tearing the top end of the motor apart. Thanks any help is appreciated
