Guys,
Since I've got my DS I've had pretty good luck when I go ride & find some guys at the local quarry & drag race. The first time I went & raced a Raptor. Now after reading in the mags how the Raptor was the baddest quad ever. (plus Yamahas own ads) I was a little worried. To be honest when I won I was shocked[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]
Now let me say, I don't take drag racing too seriously. It's fun but nothing I'd lose sleep over. Well since then I've beat Banshees (piped ones even) & other Raptors. Though my last race with one Raptor was real close, almost like racing myself !
So yesterday I race a modded Banshee. I end up losing. No big deal there is always some faster who rides better. My girlfriend asked how it went & I told her about things so I mention my loss to the Banshee & I can't live it down. She keeps ragging me on my slow quad!
How do I keep her from popping off?, short of taking her out on the 400EX & making her eat dirt!
Oh yeah, is it just me or do you never notice that conservative rev limiter until you race someone? I was also jumping my DS farther than I have before. This big tank lands like it's on a big pile of Charmin toilet paper. Smooth as could be.

 

Hmmm, Doctor Quadlix here. Difficult diagnosis, hard to treat,,,This may help. Here's my prescription. Team Pami CDI ignition w/o limiter. And for the lady, a spaaanking sounds like it's in order,,either on the 400EX or,,,,Be sure to follow up with regular tube steak injections![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

I showed my girl. She says "Tube Steak injections??? Oh, he, he, he !!!"
Once she knew what it was she was OK with Doctors orders !
