Hey when you where breaking in your new ds have you ever had a problem with boging? Its not all the time but when I run it not all rapped out and go to nab the throttle it boggs and chokes, I feather it and it comes out. Is this just because it is new and not broke in? Rarely it well backfire quickly and die, starts right back up again? I don't know what this is, im sure it is just breaking in, I have only about 2.5 hours on it. Sorry I'm asking so many questions but nobody has a ds around here and my local dealer doesn't know crap or sale much. thanks for your imput.

That doesn't sound normal, mine didn't do anything other than run like a champ during break in. It sounds almost as if your jetting may be incorrect. You should check your spark plug to see what color it is. You can get some pretty good tips on how to check and if necessary adjust the jetting within this forum.

I would suggest checking the diaphram on the top of the carb. It sounds like it is not allowing the slide to move properly. Inspect that it is seated properly and that it does not leak.

This suggestion would be after checking the plugs to ensure the jetting is correct.

hey EdsMarine~

There must be something out of adjustment on the carb. I just picked up my new DS yesterday and there is not any hint of bogging in any gear or speed. I've been gradually running the machine a little harder and everything seems to be running smooth and strong. I almost have my 10 hour break in period done already!! Mine hasn't backfired, bogged, or quit on me yet, so either check the jetting or take it back to the dealer to get it worked on.
