Marky, I completly agree with your assesment with the bickering, but I would like to throw in a disclaimer. Raptor720 and I go back and forth on a regular basis, and I think we would both agree that it is all in fun. Pride sparks brand loyalty, and that creates the "mine is better than yours" mentality. I do believe that if Raptor720 and I meet face to face, there will not be any hard feeling in the least. Surely we will have to race a few times, and check out eachothers quads, but I'm sure our discussion would be civil if not down right friendly.
I also agree that an accident like yours brings out the best in most people. I'm glad to hear that you were OK, and would have been one of those rushing to help[despite the fact that you were on a Honda, LOL]. I think that most of the brand disscusions by intelligent members in here is purely in fun, with no ill intentions. Those that take it personal or try to make it insulting, are ususally the least intelligent or educated on the given subject.

Its the same way with the different branches of the armed services. When I was in the Marine Corps, wer thought all of the oterh services were weak. They thought we were simple jarheads. But in the time of war, you bet the services come together(despite the "leadership"
as a unit and kick butt. Much like your accident. everybody who was on this forum would come to help out, even those that you may have had words with. But when nothing is going on, everybody goes back to talkin smack, although some people do get outta hand.

Marky,
You've got a pretty nice web-site yourself. I have only been to 3 places, Glamis, Rock Springs, Wy, and Walden Co. Of the 3 places, Walden, although small, is probably the most fun if you go early in the year. It is quite a challenge coming out of the creek bed with 6 inches of water flowing and zooming straight up the lip that has been created by the stream below. Around Memorial Day is the best time to go. As you can see in some of the pics, that lip can be a good 10 feet high, making it a challenge to be one of the first out of "Deadmans". Only quads with extended swing arms and 500 class dirtbikes get that opportunity. Its literally straightup when you hit that lip and it is so easy to flip backwards. SOme of the hills only have a quads width to make it through, and up! I will be going back there this Memorial day, so if any body wants to hook up, lets go!

Well, as a Suzuki LT500R owner and a DS owner and a former Honda owner I noticed a serious problem with the New Suzuki...That crappy chain adjustment...If Suzuki is using it I'd bet they are using an aluminum shift shaft that will give its future owners fits and lets not forget the use of cheep aluminum in the case halfs that plagues Arctic Cats snowmobiles(main bearings chatter, loosten up etc..) and of course the venerable Quadzilla...I could care less about the looks of a bike....does it have the ability to stand up to the abuse?
