I recently borrowed a pair of my buddies Haulers, so that I could try them out to see if they were worth the investment. I loved them. Especially the increased traction in the loose spots. The only thing is that when i called around to get prices at the local shops all the sales people said that this paddle was to much for a DS. He recommened them for Banshees running on meth.. and any four wheelers with lots of displacement. It just sounded funny, because when i used i did not notice anything wrong. I really need some input because this will help me decide between the Skat Trak 10 paddle haulers or the Skat trak edge paddles. Thanks for the help

It seems all the salespeople agree. I have talked to some and they always reccomend the haulers for like high horsepower 2 strokes. My buddy has them on his 400 and it runs great. He can pull up some of the hills better than my raptor. I have the sand skate II's and they are ok, but I think I like his haulers better. I would like to try some and see. When I get my baja, I am probably going to get haulers for it. I like them on my friends 400. The only difference I could see may be the added weight that the ds has.

Also, the DS is a high displacement quad, so the salespeople may not know what they are talking about.

My 2 cents

I have both the 8 and 10 paddle haulers and there is quite a difference in acceleration between them. The 8's are a 20" tire and are quicker off the line with a ds that is fairly stock , I run the 10's which are 22" tall more for the nitrous setup and they do the job very well, however they are not as peppy as the 8's when I'm just out cruising around. depends on the HP level your bike is making I would go with an 8 paddle or maybe a 9 but that's about it unless your making lots of power.

itsfast....Go with the 22-11-10-10paddle if you buy a set of the 20"haulers all you will be doing is digging holes and getting STUCK!!!!!!!

Ok thanks guys. I went out riding again tonight and I tried out some of the Edge paddles and I did not think to highly of them. i mean maybe they are good, they just don't feel right for me. I think that I am gonna go with the 10 paddle setup.

The reason they were trying to stear you away from the Haulers is due to the fact that they have a tendancy to tear under a DS. If you get a hauler tire, make sure you order the "extreme paddle" version of it. These paddles are a little beefyer, and less likely to tear. Prior to the "extreme paddle", Scat Trac recomended the edge for the DS since it wound not tear. I use the edge's on my personal quad and hook up rather well. I absolutly recomend the use of 22" tall tires though, even if you have to gear down for them. There floatation is much better and you'll be much happyer.

I have never heard of any one tearing paddles of a 22" hauller. Now I seen the 20" haullers get torn.I had my 22" staight hauller for a year and never had any prob. But if anyone could tear one up it would be your ds, with that 760 gorilla motor!!!(LOL)

I am Running a ten paddle hauler and my two Bomb buddys are running the nine paddle. We have not had any trouble with ripping the paddles. We all lowered the counter shaft sprocket one tooth and they are working great.I get a lot of results just by adjusting air pressure.

Who has the best price for paddles/rim combos for the Ds?
mine is all stock so i guess 8 paddle will do.
Also which ones are the strongest/hardest to rip?
Thanks guys
