Well in my opinion the best are the fully adjustable ones that Knutz sells. I have a set that are +1 wider +1 forward, two other of my friends with DS's have them also, they make a world of difference in handling.

The Timmy Boys do not have lower frame mount adjustments. With the arms that we carry, all mounts can be adjusted to give the owner the ability to actually set the arms up narrow or wide. You can actually get almost 1.5 inches of extra width[.75 inches each side] if desired, by extending the mounts.

On top of that, These arms come with a lifetime, unconditional, warranty. The manufacturer has told me that if you drop your quad off a cliff and destroy the bike, sort through the wreckage and pull out the old arms to send in for new ones. That is if they are damaged. So far, only one hiem has ever been damaged and it was replaced promptly with no questions asked.

Thanks Knutz, and I was there to witness the hiem (eyebolt) that was bent, it was on larocco's leap at REDBUD on the pro track, he jumped 100ft long 30ft high and cased it, the jump is 110 ft long. OUCH but the arms survived, only one hiem bent because it was adjusted way to far out at the time. Oh and just so you know how hard he hit, his $1500 Elka shocks literally exploded.

Hey Don I never got a chance to ask you about maintenence on those uppers you sent me (which are great by the way). Do I neet to spray lubricant on the heim joints at all? I've noticed recently my quad has been sqeeking up a storm and I am not sure what it is. I have greased the zerks before so I dont thinks thats it.

Has anyone tried adjusting the toe in with the stock A-arms? If you're trying to get rid of the darty steering, the stock DS is set up with toe out, the front of the wheels are farther apart than the rear, like a sprint car. With toe in, it should be more stable at speed. Haven't tried it (Bombardier took the three quads we had to pre-run Baja, and they haven't come back yet) just wondering if anybody has?

MarkyNark,

The toe is set by the tie rods (as in pigion-toed). You are correct that the caster and camber is not adjustable, but the toe is. It is where your tires are pointed.
