TextI have a stock ds650 and would like to know what i can do to get more out of it on a tight budget. I ride mostly with friends on cr250's with pipes and just about everything else they can put on one. I need more mid-range and top speed.
Thank you, Matt

Where is pryor OK? The first ugrade I would do for less than 100 bones is get a carb filter and outerware that will give a bit more zip and is a good basis for the rest of your upgrades. Only 50 bucks you cant go wrong.

Hey oldbull24, I too am on a limited budget. I modified my end cap, and recieved a dynojet stage3 and carbmount KN filter for Christmas. In all I have a little less than 150$ in my motor and I think short of going inside the motor with some expensive mods, this is the best set-up for the money. The motor is much stronger everywhere and I'm thinking of buying a taller front sprocket, now that I can pull it. Anyways, let me know when your going to Little Sahara and maybe I can make arrangments to be their also and show you what I've done, on a modest budget. Little sahara is only an hour and a half for me.

Happy Holidays.

What part number is the Carb mount K&N. I had been told it is #SN 2550, but none of the online places have that number.

I have the jet kit and want to do the filter on carb and eventually, after I recover from christmas I will do an exhaust.

Thanks in advance for the part number and if you can tell me where you bought it from that would be nice also.

SN#2550 is the magic number. Dynojet has them for $42.00, But you might have to wait,I think they were cleaned out over Christmas. I know Ron Woods has them, but you'll pay at least 10 or 15 bones more.
