I have always said, and continue to say, the 703 is the best bang for the buck you can do for a DS. Your looking at 55-60HP for the 703, at a cost of under $2400. 65-70HP for the 760, with the price at around $5300. The 10HP difference is worth the extra money to some people, and outside the budget for others. That's why I offer both.
Vegas650 has added cams to his 703[not included with the kit, but an option]and runs extremely well. He weighs between 30-50lbs less than I, and runs much better paddles as well[competition cut Paddle Brats VS. my Scat Trac Edge's]. Despite these advantages, I usually win up comp hill at Dumont by about 2-4 bikes. This may not seam like alot, but it would be a larger margin if all other things were equal. Vegas seams very happy with his motor[I'm glad] and is usually the fastest 4 stroke out there[when I'm not around].
I would have to sum it up as:
If you want the ultimate power, you have to go with a 760. If your budget allows, we have upgrades for even more power.
If you want the best bang for the buck, the 703 can not be disputed. No one else can make as much peak, and as broad of a power band, for the same money.
2hard2holdon-My kits are the Pami kits.
P.S. I'm still working on a new induction set up that should drasticly improve the breathing of the 760, for the same money or less. It will benifit the 703's as well, but the improvement will be greatest on the larger motors. I can't share details now, but I'll keep everyone up to date.
