bombthreat187, Yeah that's the spark arrestor. Right now I don't have it with my "bowl mod", it just has a 2" hole in the center, but the other one will have the spark arrestor welded back on around the new single pipe that replaces the 2 small ones that you cut out on the inside. It's up to you whether or not you need a spark arrestor. If you ride around dry vegetation, grass, trees, etc. you may want to go with the spark arrestor, but it's not necessary. Alot of state/federal parks and riding areas require forestry approved spark arrestors though. On private land its not an issue. Just remember if you open your exhaust up quite a bit and add a k&n filter for the stock air box, you may want to go up one or two main jet sizes in the carb. You don't want to run to lean. The stock main jet is a 165. I ordered my mikuni jets for my ds from
Alba Action at about $2.50 to $3 dollars each. Very cheap. I ordered a 170,175, and 180 main and settled on a 175 main. Let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck!
