I have seen it one time,A guy kept the button till the top of the hill to win a race. When he got to the top he tried to shut it down real quick, and the bike shot flames out the carbs and burnt the outerwears right off the filters. He told me it was because his lines to the foggers were to long giving him to much delay on shut down. This was on a GSXR750 powered banshee.
I dont think it is common though.
And I dont think N20 is flamable by itself.

Jeff, Do you have any problems with delay?
So this was caused by him tring to shut down too quick?

the only time I've seen a nitrous fire is when hollywood is making movies, the steel braided line from the fuel/n2o soleniods are only about 16-18" long and purge out in a fraction of a second I've never had a problem shutting down -it come on like a sledge hammer and shuts down the same. N2O is not flamable by itself

I have no problems shutting down,my nitrous lines are short too 12"
I am not sure exactly what the guy did to cause his short burst in fire, but he did say his lines where way to long, and that he should have let off the throttle sooner.
This is very uncommon from what I have heard.
No worry's

Hey guy's i do know what he is talking about thats why when i seen jeffs i changed mine.my lines were 22"long and i could only hit for second or i would over run the hill and it sucks to hit the top with nitrous left.either you keep in the throttle and let it burn or it freezes your slide and your throttle can stick.ugly either way but if you mount your sols.like jeffs that solves that problem instant shut down.hey feel free to copie him I DID.later
