Hey everone! I'd like to start by saying that I'm glad to hear the four stroke weekend was great. It sounds like everyone has a blast. I wish I was there.

I have a few questions for the DS crew that attended the 4 stroke war. Who was running what kind of paddles (brand/size/# of paddels)? What tire pressure? What size main jets were used and on which carb (makuni 42 or 45)?

I'm really looking forward to the next 4 stroke war, I will definately be there! Any time someone is going to Glimas and you need another DS around, let me know I'm always ready to DUNEIT!

Later,

I run 9 paddle 21x12x10 STU Paddla Brats at about 4lbs psi. I've got a 45mm carb stock pilot and main but with the needle raised all the way. I'm looking to make another Glamis trip before it gets too hot. Al

Thanks...sand45 & VEGAS650.
I'm asking because I have the makuni 45 and at 60-70deg f (2 weeks ago) I've had from 150 to 195 main w/ the needle clip on #3. The 150 runs the best, the plug looks good, it pulls hard thru the full range and the fan dosn't come on very often.

As for paddles, I went from sand sharks (junk) to sand devils 20-11-10 9paddle. They measure 23" tall @ 3psi and I'm tearing the paddles off. A friend of mine (sandsurfer) has 20-10-10 8paddle haulers and he's tearing them off as well. So I'm looking at Hauler Extreem's 20-10-10 10paddle.

VEGAS650...Is the stock main a 145? How are the Paddle Brats holding up to the 703?

I'm trying to get sandsurfer to hit the dunes feb 8th to 10th.

Thanks again! Later

Hey Knutz.. What is your opinion on paddles and jetting? If I remember correctly you were putting 150 main in the 703 bike w/ a mikuni 45?

If the 145 is the stock main for a 45mm than I went up. Don has a 150 in it. I thought that was stock. I am on my 2nd year with the Paddla Brats. I once had Haulers for about an hour. Thats how long it took me to rip em up. I've seen the Extreme Haulers that SAND45 runs and I like them. If you get the paddla Brats I don't recommend that you get them comp grooved. They may be lighter that way but they puncture much easier also. I don't know what I'm going to get next. I'd like 1 more paddle. Paddla Brats only come with 9.

I heard that the 20" haulers get ripped up but the 22" haulers don't. Is this true??
