How much power could I get with a hacksaw and a stock end cap?

Just a question, I here about a few people modifing thier end cap by putting a single larger exhaust tube replacing the two smaller diameter tubes of the stock end cap. I have pulled out my end cap and looked at it and saw that the exhaust tubing that I see on the outside of the end cap becomes a much smaller diameter inside the muffler. Which looks like a big restriction.would cutting the pipes right where they start to become narrower help out on the power. If this idea worked it would still have a stock looking exhaust. Also how could I take the spark areestor screen off the end cap with out damaging it,If anyone thinks this might be a decent idea I have.

Hi Badbombardier, I'd recommend a new pipe or slip on but others have bought the new end cap, I think its only like $40. or you can mod it yourself.

I thought about doing the same thing to mine before I had one made. The reason why I did'nt do it was it was so cheap to biuld one,and that way I wouldn't mess the stock one up incase I ever wanted to go back stock. With that said I've always wondered if it would be just as good as my new Modded endcap. I think a Drimmel tool with a cutting wheel would cut the welds that hold on the Spark arrester screen.
I hope you do this because I'm curious.
Let us all know how it works.
