Blackhawk, Dude you cant go through all this work and not show up. That just wouldn't be right. I am sur it is going to be atleest that far for me to. I have already checked it out and I am going for sure. I am going to try and take Friday off so I can leave Thurs and drive to UT or maybe even Wendover, then head on to there Fri Morn. Did ya catch that Bat?

I had a few ideas for advertising on this. If Bombardier is sighning on to this thing, wich Knuts says they are, then maybe we could talk to them and get them to add it to there articles in the magazines. They are running the adds anyways and all they would have to do is ad a small graphic saying something like,"Come to DS Days, Sand Mt. Nevada. Labor day weekend" then put the address to your sight or a link on their site for people to find out more info. Knuts what do you think?

How are things coming with the whole permit thing?

I was also thinking we could get the Connection to put up a small add on the front page of the site as well as a few other sites. Who do we need to write to to ask that? Anyone that has a web site and are interested in helping promote this thing, I think it would be great if you would put a link to Blackhawks page on your sites. Even if you know you cant make it. I know that I am going to as soon as I get a chance to do mine. Hopefully soon.

The PDF file is a great idea as well. If any wants to build one that would be great. It can be in color and if anyone who is willing to go and take it to the shops around them, I think you should be able to print in B&W as well and make copies for close to nothing. It sucks askin people to spend their own money for this but this is going to be one huge event and will be a heck of alot of fun. It will be worth the few extra bucks I think.

Anyone new been talking about sighning on as a sponserer? Jeff how is that dealer talking? What is the update with C.O.R.V.A. ?

Well any other ideas people? Speak OUT !!!

Demon

PS Blackhawk, Maybe an idea would be to research the area for other attractions for those who will be coming but have others with them that may not want to ride the dunes 24-4. They have been talking about stuff to do for the Lady's in another topic for instance.

PSS I was also thinking that maybe a circle track race for the LIL ones would be fun to do as well. maybe we could talk Bomb into bringing the MiNI ds's for it, as well as anyone who already has one that they are bringing, like Bat. Just a thought. My mind is swimming with ideas.

I meet with Ken of Anytime power Sports next monday for lunch. He wants to sponsor a Saturday night dinner/barbeque and some group rides with a family style atmosphere(plus a MANRIDE)...Sounds great to me! I will keep you posted on what we come up with at our meeting.
It doesn't take much to set up a track for the little ones,I see it done all the time with caution tape around the perimeter to keep the rif raf out.

Blackhawk,
How about a sign up sheet(besides the sponsor),so other riders will know who is gonna be there?

Blackhawk,
The easiest way to "cut&paste" is to highlight, then hit ctrl+c to copy. To paste ctrl+v Same thing as your way just a shortcut

Demon, sounds good. My only concern is leaving my three quads on an open trailer all night. I have a fear that they might have gone missing througout the night. Maybe by labor day, I could have an enclosed trailer of some kind. That would work great.

Bat, You wouldn't need to worry about that. We could park them at my cousins house. He is a Davis County Sheriff in Bountiful. Garanteedv safe there. Heck if we wanted to we could even put them in the police impound yard. As for if we went on to to Wendover that could be a different story. My other cusin has alot of "connections" in Wendover and I am sure he could find somethng for us. If we stayed at one of the casinos I am sure they could probably help us out with finding a secure place for them. You just got to know how to talk to those people.

A sighn up sheet would be cool on the site. Good one Jeff.

Just run your cable and locks through the quads and the frame of the trailer. U should bring locks and cables with u whenever u go. At night u should always lock up your quads. When we were down at glamis once we had a xr80 walk out of our camp overnight, never locked up stuff before, but now always lock our stuff up. Also cant wait till the DS days, i will be going out there right around easter for a couple days and will take some pics for everbody to see, dont forget your dirt tires too cuz we can go out to some wide open desert roads out behind sand mountain, fun stuff. Demon, if we are just going to utah, I would probably just stay at my buddy's house in ogden and then drive the rest of the way. I am sure he is going to want to come anyway. In fact now I think of it, that is most likely what I will do. I have a few other weekends and trips to plan before this one anyway.

As for locking up my stuff, I have a lock and do that pretty much everywhere I go. But, people can still mess with your quads and locks can be defeated. I know a guy that had the seat stolen off of his quad and another that had someone dump dirt in his tank. Both these things happened when on the road, it may have just been kids, but still they ruined their weekends. So, that is one reason I am in the market for an enclosed cargo trailer or toy hauler.

This sounds like it will be a blast. I read someone talking about not being sure if they want to drive 10 hours or not. Be glad its not the 35+ hour drive facing me if I decide to go. It would be awesome to meet so many DS owners. Ive been riding a DS for almost 2 years and I have only met 3 other people who have them. One of those is a DS that I once owned already......

You also have cut, copy and paste on the right click sub menu, after selecting or placing the cursor right click and you will see you comands. 10 hour drive? thats not to bad it's 12 hours to either Little Sahara Utah or St. Anthony's for me, it would be 22 hours to get to Fallon, I don't have a problem with going that far but it would normaly be to glamis or some other large area like Oregon, I'll have to think about this
