piston and cams question?
#42
First let me state that I think Bat is going to go insane trying to figure out what he wants.
I forget what RWR says their stage 2 makes but I had mine dyno'd twice at two different shops and never got more than 49hp. That's not much for over $2,ooo.
I still haven't gotten the 703 dyno'd yet. I am dying to see what it makes. Bat I will definitly make a point of having it done before I see you on Mem. Day.
Marky, I'm pretty sure none of Knutz's kits come with an exhaust system.
And Bat, Yes, I think those are crank #'s you are reading.
Don correct me if I'm wrong. And if I am I'll let you answer these questions from now on. It's that I know how busy you are and I'm trying to get these guys some answers.

Vegas, going insane, hahaha I am already there
I really need to find out the turn around time on a 703. Maybe that is what I will do and forget all the rest of this stuff. Do you know if Don has dynoed any other 703's?
Do you think that the 703 with the cams is a lot more hp than without? I would guess that the cams would make it that much better. I wish I could have seen it run. If I knew that I could get the 703 done and back to me within a month, that is probably what I would do. But I think I might want the cams also. I just don't know, IM INSANE
Oh well I guess the insanity will continue. I want more poweeer

OH, and from what I understand the big gun is what is reccomended, but it is not included in the kits, so my question is are these numbers with the stock exhaust or with the big gun?????

Bat- go for the gusto, you can do it, you can do it, you can do it. 703, 703, 703, 703. You just need a little more convincing. You will not get what you are looking for with just the piston. Tear into it once and do it right the first time.

OK, Sorry, but I've been really busy, so I couldn't get to this right away.
Bat, check you in box, I just replied to all your questions, I hope. Let me know if I missed anything.
Vegas, thank you, your replies have been correct.
HP #'s listed with the info I send out on the kits is crank HP from Team Pami.
HP #"s I talk about in e-mails or in the forum are RWHP that I have done myself.
Stock HP is about 39-41 at the rear wheel
A good exhaust, carb mounted filter, and ignition box will get you between 46-48RWHP.
The cams, piston, carb, etc.. set up should get you around 50-55RWHP
The 703 should net you around 55-60 at the rear wheels. Closer to 60[or a touch more] when cams are added. The Sand Pig is still running RWR cams, since he had them already.
The base level 760 will get you about 70RWHP, and the restiction is the 45MM carb, so there is much more there when I get a way around that little carb.
Jeff has a 760 with extra head work that goes beyond what other do, as well as dual carbs that Jeff modified the frame to fit. This combination netted him [an unconfirmed, dyno trouble] 114 RWHP! I can't wait to get it back on the dyno to see if that is correct, but I truely believe it is.
Did this hit most peoples questions? I hope so.

Well i thought this topic was dead but i guess since someone is gonna keep bringing it up i should reply. The 'bashing' comment wasn't in regards to who's products are better. It was that you seem to never say anything good about RW racing. And if you(Knutz) are going to "quote" someone please make it correct. The response was that you make very good products and there are several that are in the picture soon.CAN THIS TOPIC NOW DIE????PLEASE!!!
