Where can I buy the correct size/type 6 link chain segment needed for lengthening my chain for a +4" swingarm?

I may sound funny but go to a Tractor supply store. There you will find mater links and links of chain for tractors. Find the 530 strength. The tractors put out way more torque than a quad so they should hold up. Or just buy a second chain from Richardson Powersports.

When adding links to a chain it is very important to use the same brand part as the chain your adding it to. Never mix master links from another brand chain, they never fit properly. This is even more important when its an o-ring chain and a hellofalot more important when your puting 70+ hp to it. If you break a chain, the counter sprocket drives the chain into a bunch which will be forced to break into the ca$e$. I'm sure you've heard of or seen this happen. For the cost of the chain compared to the cost of cases, its better to just bite the bullet and buy a new chain that is longer then you need and shorten it.

Here's and e-mail I recieved from DID Headquarters.

Dear Doug san,

Thank you for your e-mail.

Yes, the chain is DID 50/530VM. Its master link is DID 50/530VM ZJ, so
please ask your nearest dealer or distributor for ZJ type connecting link.
Thank you.

Best regards

Wow, that sounds like AUTHENTIC Japanese English! ...It's not just the computer industry where we see some funny verbage. I'm sure you've all heard of a "Mid-Tower" case for a PC, right? Well, how about a "Midi Tower" case? I think someone was trying to be creative and make a good selling point, but to me it just doesn't work. Oh well, it's still a good case so I use it.
