What tire pressure are you running? That makes a huge difference for me.

I got the tires brand new and they had 7psi in them. What do you run on your paddles?

20 IS SMALL but next time try 2nd gear take offs. with that little tire and you will notice a big difference since 20's lower your gear ratio so much. and i dont mean to bum you but it sounds like your clutch's are slippng at top speeds the only time my tires just start spining after 4th gear is when i hit my nitrous. oh i run 23 mags like jbomb 8,10,12s good luck!!

I usually run about 3 in mine too. I weigh about 300 though. I am thinking of buying some 22" v paddles soon.

I run 10 paddle haulers in 20x10x10 and I have no problems with traction. These are my first tires on 10 inch rims and I don't really notice a difference from my old 8 inch rims on my 250r. Air Pressure is THE MOST important variable in the sand, plus any adjustments are free so go experiment, have someone time you up s hill or see if you can pull a higher gear by adjusting your pressure.

I run 20" 10 paddle haulers and I'm happy with them. They handle well just riding, which is what I do most, and when I hit the drag strip they perform well too. Its hard enough to keep the front down dragging, so I know I don't need any more traction. Then again I run 3-4 psi. If I had 7 psi in them I would never win anything.

One guy I met ran 10 paddle 22" haulers on his stock DS - more traction all right, he was unbeatable, but they sure weren't as much fun to ride around on.

I used to run Kenda Trakkers too, they were a blast to handle - cut donuts on the side of a sand wall awesome - but worthless to drag with, even with 3psi. It all just depends on what purpose you want the tire for.

I just ordered a pair of the new Maxxis Rooster v-paddles. They are 20x10x11 with diameter of 22" and 8 paddles-1" thick. I will let you know how they work out. They also have a nice looking straight paddle and front sand tire as well.

Maxxis website...

Click on products, atv and take a look at the new Rooster's.

I just ordered a set of 8 paddle 22 X 11 X 10 Extreme Haulers on 9" wide .160 rims. After borrowing several sets of paddles I decided that these were hands down the best tires for my type of riding, Sand drags, hillclimbing & dune running.
