I found a bad weld on my swingarm after my first ride, while washing. My dealer ordered a new one and got it in two days. When I went to pick it up, I discovered it was a crappy reject full of paint chips and several little dents. I looked at him with disgust, and two days later I had another new one in good shape. Then I took it home to install, and found that the brass swingarm pivot bushings don't come out easy like they said they would. Two days later I had new bushings for the new swingarm. I had to use a hydraulic press to install them, they will never come out either.
I received an evaluation from Bomb a month after going through this - I let them know all of this with a polite choice of words.
A while back I ordered a tach kit - got it in two days. It was missing some parts though - no mounting ring or connectors - got them in two more days.
I had a wipeout and broke my thumb throttle a while back, ordered a new one, got it in two days. It didn't come with the screws though, so I couldn't assemble it. Got them in two more days.
Those Canadians seem to have a thing for quick two day shipments, bad thing is they're never complete.

The only order I got that quick, was one that I just tried to cancell. It usually takes me a week to get things from Bombardier, so when the customer asked to cancell two days after the order, I thought there might be a chance to cancell befor it was shipped. No chance, it showed up the next day.

man i take it back now that i heard the new story. that is horrible. You should definitely get ahold of bombardier and have them give you a new quad. that wouldbe the only satisfactory thing to do. if that happened to me i would be all over my dealer and bombardier. i hope things work out for you in the end.

There is one more option. We buy these toys on credit cards that the dealers get us right? Dispute the charges. Tell the credit company and get a refund and find a new dealer. Raise some Hell...I would!! Then tell the dealer he is not going to be paid and then see what he says.

Seems to me, if the engine has to be replaced, wouldn't the quad still be considered new, with the new engine installed? As long as it's not a rebuild or anything, it seems that the machine could be officially 'new' since in the first 10 minutes, there would likely be more wear in the engine than anywhere else. That being said, it seems like a new machine would not be out of the question. A while back, a dozen or more people from the forums all sent emails to a CRS (Customer Service Representative) from Bombardier in support of someone who needed assistance. I don't believe I have that email address, but that is always another option.

It seems to me that the only right thing for Bombardier to do is to take this quad back and give you a new one, you paid for a new quad now and there is no good reason for you to even wait for the dealer to recive and install a new motor, when you talk to them you might mention this forum thread.....I would not accept a rebuilt motor

I wouldn't hold my breath for an answer on Monday, but this week for sure.

A new motor does not make a new quad. The dealer would still have to suck up the difference between what he could sell it for and what a new one was worth. If Bombardier steps up to help the dealer[like they should] then a new quad is what you should get. If Bombardier only covers replaceing the broken shaft, then your getting screwed, and the dealer would lose alot of money doing anything more than that. If it were me, I wouldn't settle for anything less than a new motor.

Saint, shoot me an email at motoxes@motoxes.com. I might be able to help you get in contact with the ATV service manager at Bombardier. I was in your shoes a few months ago and was able to work things out.
