The problem is, if he gives you a new bike, he has a used bike that he has to sell for much less than new. Not to mention, he doesn't have a new bike to sell to the next customer. I agree, he needs to do something to make it up to you. The repair should be rather simple, and he should take the part off of another bike if he has one, so you don't have to wait for parts. Maybe throw in the 10 hour service for free when your ready, but a new bike would cost him hundreds of bucks, for a mistake that wasn't his[maybe].

I'm sorry this happened, it's the first time I've heard of this happening. I hope he steps up to make things right with you. If he comes up with a new bike for you, that's an increadable dealer and he deserves your loyalty. If he gives you something extra, and fixes the bike right away, thats the right thing for him to do[that deserves loyalty as well]. If he fixes the bike, and nothing else, well, that's not great service. Good Luck

hey that really sucks but dont sweat it. the dealer will fix it. but i wouldnt expect a whole new quad. I think i would be happy as long as it gets fixed promptly. Maybe if it had something to do with the engine i would be a little more pissed. the Ds is a great bike and youll love it! Good luck.

i just got back from the dealer. he took off the side cover to check out the clutch and when he pulled the cover the clutch fell on the ground! the cross shaft broke. AFTER 10 MINS OF RIDDING. HE IS TELLING ME HE NEEDS TO PUT A MOTOR IN! now i have to wait for it to go through warrenty, he has to order a new motor. all this for a quad with 10 min on it. he wouldnt pull a motor from another quad or give me another quad. im sorry but if a quad needs a motor after 10 mins, it should be replaced with a new quad. it is not my fault it broke. now ive paid for a quad so it can sit at the dealership and wait for a motor. not a very good first impression.

You could call Bombardier ATV directly and speak to customer service. Let them know of the problem and that you want it taken care of within one week. A case number will be opened if it hasn't already. They keep in contact with the dealer and make sure no-one drags their feet.

I've been in your situation before where I walk out of a store with something and it is broken whe I get it home. The store refuses to swap it with a good one, and I have to wait a long time for it to be sent away for repair. It sucks, and I never return to that store again. You're lucky if you find someone that will swap the bad one for a good one to save you the time and hassle.

At that point, the only right thing to do would be replace the quad. Waiting an extended time to replace a motor that only has a few minutes is not fair. I'll see what I can do for you, but being on the other side of the country, I may not be able to do anything.
