When I talked to Troy Herbst, he said there was another quad that got in his way twice, once before the flat and then again after the flat(that seemed to iratate him).It could have been Q54 or Q55,they were just a few minutes or seconds in front of me towards the finish.
When Troy came up on me,we where in a recessed sand wash(or river bed)So passing for anybody would have been real tough.Plus I was also riding in another quads dust at the same time.Troy passed me once,(that was enough)then I never saw him again.
I came up on a buggy that was changing a flat,but he was taking off just as I came up on him.So I never passed any buggys or trucks.

I heard the Herbst crew got pissy with Temecula Motor Sports about a video of one of Herbst's truck crashing/rolling? TMS refused to give up the video and threats were made etc etc?

Maybe I have Herbst confused with another but I am pretty sure.

 

Jeff, I hope your not losing sleep over this,that's all part of racing isn't it?.Sorry I just had to say it![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]I don't care what they say Jeff your still my hero!!!

 

bla...bla...bla... After the race...WE talked with the MAN himself...not a crew member...not a spectator....TROY...yes, he was bummed for having to deal with a couple of quads, but at no time did he RIP Jeff a new one. He was more concerned (imho) about running us over than anything else. He thanked us for racing AND made sure we would race again. I have been racing off-road for 20 years now, and the Herbst have had there share of controversy. No different than anyone high profile..but when it counts..they are always there to help. UNLESS you where in the Truggy, on the Quad, flying the Helo, or in the discussion after the race...it is B.S. hear say....We had a GREAT time and will do it again...Thank you to every one for your support...Ken

Jeff it look like they have more photo's of your tean on the race course and more photo's of Knutz team in the Pits. Don two question what shock were you using and what size engine in Q99
