Well I just did some thinking and I want to encourage anyone who is attending to pipe up. If you dont care where, no problem, but this is a great way to see how many are coming. So please let us know, even if it is just a simple count me in. For those who dont know from the East Coast Connection, Little Sahara/Sand Mt. UT is about 8 hours closer than Sand Mt. NV for those coming from that direction. Not swaying any votes just thought I would throw that out. Of course that means it is farther from those in the west, but not even close to as far as what they will be traveling.

Dunejammer (from post far below...or above depending on how you have this thing sorted)...I looked on mappoint and it looks like Anaheim is about 10 hours from Sand Mountain, NV (474 Miles). I've never been riding out of SoCal, so I'll find out how good an estimate that is.

Bat, and others who made it down to Dumont for Pres. Day...I can't wait to see the riding areas that you guys were talking about...different is good...new challenges.

SandGod, what do you mean "no quad"....what happened to the Raptor? Are you wrenchin' on a new project? (nevermind, I just saw your sig....z400 huh?)

Later all,

Las Vegas, NV to Delta, UT is 320 miles. Est 7 hours drive time according to Yahoo.

It says get on the I-15, drive 280 miles, hang a left on Us-50 and after 31 miles you're there.

From my location directly it's 592 miles to Delta, and I hear another 35 to Little Sahara.

Yahoo tells me that Fallon, NV is 574 miles. I guess I'm up for either place, I was freting the idea of Little Sahara, Utah at first but a difference on 20 miles isn't much on a trip of that length. Besides, 476 of those miles are all on one road, the I-15.

Having made that notation, anyone from Southern California who was thinking of going to SM, NV could easily make the drive to LS, UT. Also, since we're all taking the 15, it would make it REALLY EASY to meet along the way and caravan.

If a person could average 65 MPH (that is an average, including all stops etc.) traveling 630 miles (592 + 35 rounded up) they could arrive at the destination in 9.6 hours. adding a little time for stops, 11 hours shouldn't be tough. It sounds daunting, but I used to drive a truck for 8-12 hours a day, my pickup is a hell of a lot more comfortable.

Sorry for thinking out loud, but I figure it could help someone else pondering the idea.

Count me in if you wanna go to Little Sahara.

Sand Mountain UT would work for me. I ride there often and had a chance to meet sandgod there last year and 3TV there about 3 week ago. The dunes there are awsome and there are a LOT of them along with a few real fun bowls and a real HUGH bowl on the back side of the mountain. It would be great to see some of the other guys on here and make a statement with all those DS's in the same place at one time...Sounds like fun to me I was already plaining a trip down there for that weekend anyway.

I was looking forward to a road trip and some new terrain, but I'm up for anything within 12hrs drive time. If I only have to drive 2hrs so be it! I do believe that anyone that makes the trip to ride our dunes will not be disappointed- I'm game for wherever. just ride!
