i have a set of works tripple rates, set up for mx,im planning on doing some local racing and want to lower the front.the track is a large flat track with three small jumps, its a offroad track for cars called bump n run, anyway i moved the preload clip on my shocks all the way up to see how much it would lower it and it was just right.the clip was on #10.can i get a extra long, mabey softer top spring from works to keep every thing tight when fully extended or do i have to change eveything to get the heigth i want.i know youve tried alot of combos with yours and thought you might know what i need to do

The magic spring you seek is a 240#, 2.8" helper spring. It will give you lots of sag, smooth out the ride. With the shocks off the quad, use just enough preload adjustment to hold the retainers on. Any less tension and the shock could come apart over a jump. If you can't do it with your hands you have too much tension. This is Zero-preload.
...The little "Crossover spacers" are critically important, expecially with lighter weight helper springs. They are the little rings under the helper springs. They allow the helper springs to work only for a specific distance before bridging the load over to the stiffer helper or mainspring. Without them the lighter springs would be overcompressed and maybe break. The 2.8" magic helper is only good for an inch or so.
....IF you really want to sag this baby consider two 240# helpers on each shock. This would be very similar to the TCS spring. The 240# helper is also available in a 2.2" length, I think. My reccomendation would be to order 2-240# in 2.8" length and two 240# in 2.2" length and go from there. 210# Mainspring is pretty great IMO. The 240# mainspring is too stiff unless you are a really big guy or jump really big. The 175# is way too soft to land jumps. I weigh 210#

I'm running the short 500# helper with the 2.8" 240#. IT's a good combination for all around, and smoothes the transition into the mainspring. But it sounds like you want more sag. Works has dozens of different spacers, end pieces, clips, adjusters etc. that help make any spring go with any shock. There is usually enough stuff on your shocks to replace springs and get it all working again. The crossover spacers should be fine. If you can't get it all to fit, you may have to call works and get some additional doo-dad, clip or spacer. Then when you're all done, send back the pieces you bought that you didn't use. They'll take a 20% restocking fee, and that's okay.

Raptor shocks aren't all that long, you may need to use two of the 2.2" 240#'s. It depends on your mainspring and how much spring length you have. Whatever you put on there remember to keep it at zero preload.
My son's Raptor is running just the 2.8" 240# with 175lb mainsprings as dual-rates. But he only weighs 90 lbs, and jumps a lot. It takes experimenting to get it right for each rider. These shock companies ask a lot of questions and still get it wrong. You may be able to get a shorter mainspring, or even a TCS helper spring. IT sure is great when you finally get it...
