No damage to plastic gear drives to either pressure pump or return pump and no sheared pins! In fact I found nothing wrong anywhere, no blocked passages, nothing. But I do have oil now
IS it possible that 10,000+ rpms caused the pumps to spin so fast that they just cavitated and lost pressure???? I was getting my exhaust gases analized at the time and had no load on the motor
anyhow I'll be riding this weekend!

Glad to hear that everything is ok. Where are you going to be this weekend?

We will be at little sahara camping at oasis.

Hope to see you

RCRDUDE mentioned to me that with high R's the oil could start to foam. If it did this could have resulted in air in your oil lines.

How long did you crack the bleed screw for while turning over the engine (with the kill switch off?)

for about 5-8 secs each time I tried( total maybe 4 times) it's been something weird. I cleaned out the filter in the upper reservoir about a month or so ago but as a precaution I'll drain the oil I put in last night and tear it out again and double check.
thanks for all help offered from everybody- it's nice to have a network like this.

Bat- it'll be a day trip for me, I prefer my own bed at home to the back of my truck I'll have a red strip of tape on my whip flag and I'll be looking to run into you guys.

FYI: It's not good for the motor to rev out all the way or hold at high RPM without any load on the motor.
