Dyno testing the DS.
#1
I want to take the DS to get a good baseline measurement before I pull the head and do some port work on it. What is the average price for a few pulls? Do you have to go to a motorcycle dyno or will a car dyno work. I hope I don't have to go to a car dyno because the last time I took my Mustang there it cost me about $200 for 4 pulls.

The last time I was at the dyno, I spen like 200 dollars. That was for just under 3 hours of the bike sitting on the dyno. This fella charges from the time the bike is rolled up on the dyno till you roll it off the dyno. 85 bucks an hour. I spent alot of time re-jetting and playing with other things. If you plan to do any tuning, my advice to you is to take the bike with all the plastic off and whatever else that might not be necessary to save you money. Time is money on the dyno

WOW! I must have gotten lucky. I found a guy on the internet near me that only charges $250 for 8 hours, so I am having 2 other buddies bring there's too. What's that, like $31 an hour? He has the fuel/air ratio equipment and all.

swytak,
I've never done ANY dyno work, and that sounds like a great deal. What better way could you get your machine perfectly dialed in as far as power output and fuel/air mixture. If I lived remotly near you, I'd be all over that.
