So what's the deal with this. Are the Home Depot hoses working?

Hey UGLYMAN32 how is it working on your Baja?

Is there anything that we can get for the high presure hose that runs along the left side of the bike? What is that hose anyway?

Can you use regular car coolant in the DS?

So far so good. Its been over 4 months now, with no problems. In fact I took a look at theme last night and they are holding up fine..

My concern is the pinching. Someone said that the regular hose couldn't handle the angle and was pinched. Is this still an issue?

You mean peice the hose together using 90 degree angle connectors?

Uglyman32's Baja doesn't look like he had to use the 90's

I didn't look at the link but if I remember right he used zip ties to keep it from kinking. I have mine but haven't got it on again, did once but it was the wrong size id. If I end up having trouble with it kinking I am going to buy a stainless spring the length of the hose to stop it. I don't think I will have problems but you never know.

How would zip ties keep it from kinking.

I'm trying to keep this one on top so that uglyman can give some input.

If you place a zip tie on the hose, where it kinks, it adds pressure to the sides that are bulging out, forcing them inward. When they are forced inward, it becomes round again. If you look at the pics of the Baja DS650 with the clear hoses, one of the pics shows several zip ties on the hose. I'm not sure if that made sense, but maybe it'll help you. I think the picture will help more than anything else though.
