My OEM battery toasted on its own as well. No real abuse or anything, just toast. I replaced it with a YUASA battery that they had in stock at TVI here in Oregon. I can't remember the model#. I think I paid ~$75 for it. I also saw that they have them at Rocy Mtn. Atv. The terminals are just a tiny bit different than the OEM ones, but they work just fine. It fits perfectly into the battery retention box on my 2000 DS. It has run strong and I have been happy with it.

Bahhhh. Don't believe that puckey about having to get a Bomb battery. Head up to Wal-Mart and get one for $50.00. Just make sure you meet or exceed the CCA's. I can't remember which one I got or I would give you the model #. Good Luck.

Oh yeah, the dimensions are important too. The on I have is slightly smaller and lighter and much more powerful. It fits fine in the brackets but looks short.
