dsmike my ds tops out at 10300 rpms on the dyno i dont run a tach because it don't matter to me if the engine blows then we start over asumeing we did a bad job the the frist time.and 115 is an easy mark we have achieved higher speeds and as for distance there is no distance but we start 1 mile ahead of our target board and haul *** at it and we also have a radar gun to verifie the target board is acurate.and i do know greg rowe told me with gearing and exhaust changes only no rev limiter they were getting 107 out of the baja winner.i can tell you it feels like she achieves her top speed at about 3/4 a mile those last few mile per hour are a bitch to get.the board picks me up at a half mile and then i can monitor my speeds.and yes for max speed im am bumping my nos thats why we don't give top no's

not realy if you do a little reasearch you will find that this is not uncommon for the ds and ill bet a raptor with a widened and stretched frame can also be made to do these speeds.stock they area little small

what did your motor dyno? does your 300' track have timers? is so what did you run?

 

YES it is a sanctioned 5.45-5.62. and getting better we just added whellie bars and will be trying those out next time right now i whellie all the way down the track and it realy sucks.and as far as dyno no's ive had as hi as 70's and as low as the 60's readings im not sure if people realy know what there doing with these dyno's i personaly seen jeffs dyno at 44 hp made me fell a little small.you could not have forced me to put my bike on tht same dyno.

ps what i am most proud of is my reaction time last time out .042 thats fast to hell with the race.proabably once in a lifetime thing though.

 

what mph do you run in 300 feet? are you using NOS? what all mods do you have to your DS? how you ever raced JEFF?

 

my 2000 ds ran 73 stock and i'm 190 on pavement and little wind.i dropped down to a 37 rear and got up to 81mph.removed the air box and added a carb mount k&n filter and got 84.i bought the ron wood stage one with the cdi box and tach and pipe& 45 carb. 89 mph.i put a 17 on the front and ran 95mph.22mph gain with with just bolt on mods is pretty good.with the stage three i can pull 15mph more with the same gear ratio than before.i'm only running 110 with out the nos.i got it ported & polished and a little more stuff from my buddy that builds drag bikes.i was thinking about going to meth,but i don't know right now.i may sell this 45 and buy twin 39's.what kind of hp gains did you guys get switching from the 45 to the 39's

 

I know that when the DS les a pace lap at indy they geared it to do 90mph stock. But I dont know about it modded.

 

Yes marky i have spoken with ken and i don't know about the 1/4 mile but i know 117 is no problem!!!
