I think I will be picking up a TM45mm carb, and Ported Intake Manifold. How does everybody like theirs? I have a K&N, Biggerisbetter's modded endcap, and I am running topless. I have a 180mikuni mj in my stock carb right now. Does the Mikuni 45mm make that much of a difference? How about the lighter return spring, vs. the Heavier one? And what type of jets does it use? Mikuni small round? I would like to get a Dynojet needle for it, for more bottom, to mid. Does DJ make one? Thanks, and just post any general info on one.

P.S: (Look out everyone from Aledo, I'm getting faster!)

Ok, thanks Kyle, I plan on getting it.

DSMike, how hard was it to use with ALky, and Gas? What do you have to do to switch it from Gas to Alky? I was just wondering because it would be neat to run gas for trails, and stuff, but then switch to Alky for drags. I've heard the Alky seeps around the piston into your crankcase oil, is this true?

Hey Adam... I have the 45 from RWR. It's great. I run the K&N in the airbox topless, 40 pilot, 140-150 main (large round), #96 needle on the third clip and the lighter return spring with a motion pro twist throttle. As far as I know ther is no DynoJet kit available. The 45 mikuni is easy to tune, but you will need to play with the idle mixture screw to remove some hesitation on the quick throttle movement of of idle. I've had mine for over two years and it's never missed a beat.

You won't be disapointed.

Maybe I'll make it to Aledo some day to see if my DS will compete.

adam,

the 45mm carb works good on alcohol in the trails. you can dune ride for about 2 to 2 1/2 hours on a tank. once you run alcohol you will never put it back on gas.

I love mine! But word of advice! If you really want to notice a difference lose the airbox.
