My brother took a pretty bad spill on my DS and busted the headlight mounts off(both of them). First I was wondering if apoxy,or JBweld would work on the mounting tabs. Second, can I go to a auto parts store and buy a replacement bulb? Is there anything that cross references with the DS head light bulb? Thankx.

Yes you can just buy a bulb from the auto store, they cost i think 7 dollars same as if you buy them from the dealer.
As for the headlight mount, Maybe duct tape will work?

I tried to fix mine with epoxy. It did hold for a few weeks but broke again due to the vibrations. The tabs broke on mine to i did not try j-b weld that might hold better. New light assembly is 100.00 ouch!!

Mxzxracin, do you have a part# for the bulb?at say AutoZone or NAPA?

Sand, My brother is more than willing to buy me a new headlight assembly ,But my DS took so much skin off his A$$, I'd feel bad telling him that the headlight is a $100 plus.LOL.

Thanx again guys.

This is funny that someone is asking about a bulb! I bought a 2 new yellow bulbs for my Triumph Street bike. My DS is all in pieces, So I thought maybe the bulbs are the same? Sure enough they are! IMO I think the Bombs would look sweet with a Yellow head light! It's regular H4 55/60Watt with a plastic yellow bubble around it. It's Yellow, Yellow, not white yellow if you know what I mean.
