Problem: Wife loves the suspension and power of her DS 650, but the quad is too big for her, and no reverse ( a chic thing ). Any input about a Warrior vs 300EX vs ??? She rode the 250 EX and the Rally and said too boring...not enough power or suspension....trying to buy used, so the Z400 is out

I would say a used 400ex, if the 250 ex is to boring than the 300ex and warrior will seem boring, a used 400ex is in the 3400-4000 range. But worth it.

Alot of people here like to bash Polaris, but my wife loves her Scrambler 400. More power than a 300EX, with reverse, liquid cooled and a good ride. It is heavy however (481 lbs.) It really depends on her riding style. If she likes to let the bike do the work, the Scrambler works great. If she wants to use gears and body english to her advantage then she'll need something else. I bought a slightly used 2001 for $3500. Hope this helps.

If she likes the power of the ds, but not the size, I would say you have only one choice. Raptor.

The suspension can be upgraded to give the same or better travel as the ds, and the power is right there with the ds. And it feels much smaller and lighter.

Just a thought.

dsmike...dude your killin me. Bat...I thought about that, just not sure it is in the price range we want to spend...$3000-3500. I need to upgrade my kids 90 too. We thought about the Polaris...but she likes shifting. We have NEW DS650 motors at work for $2000.00...thought about building/upgrading a quad for her. Thanks guys for your input. Also thought about a 300EX with the addition of 400EX suspension since it bolts right on...too many choices
