I dont know about the us but over here you cant street legalize atv's at all, but all atv's have to be registerd and have a licence plat.
now correct my if i'm wrong, but dont you need rear differential in order to turn on the road whithout the rear wheels sliding?

By me you can ride on the road as long as you don't get chased by the cops!

The other day I saw a Banshee blasting through town--I don't know what was on his mind.

In Arizona it's no big deal to get your quad street legal.
You'll need a mirror, head & tail/brake light, horn and insurance.
That's it. The DMV issues a modified motorcycle tag.
If you ride on state maintained roads, which include forest roads, you have to be street legal.
My DS is street legal and my tag reads DS650.
BTW - When I took my DS down to the DMV for the inspection, I had the sand paddles on!
