Has anyone raced a speed with their DS? I just want to know how fast they are.

I have raced a couple a Cannibles, And I think they are the same performance as a Speed. Anyways, They usaully get the holeshot, But by the end of the race(LS okla.) I am usaully a bike length or 2 ahead. I have also raced a MOTO and was beaten by 4-5 lenghts. 4 of those lengths were out of the hole,(Those C'dales launch HARD) But I could not close on the MOTO.

I have a Speed, by Bud has a DS with ignition box, K&N, no lid, jetted and RW pipe. Last trip to Glamis I pulled him on Olds by several bike lengths. My other Buds, Banshee pulled me like I pulled him.

Why lie the truth is so much more interesting.

While out at sand mtn. over memorial day there were a couple of the cannondales. There was one pretty fast one that i was about even with and all the others i beat by a whole bunch. I also outweighed all these guys by about 50-75lbs. Sean

I have been waiting for the perfect moment to tell this tale it was sand mt nv early evening i was having trouble getting my nos tuned in. So i found a hill off to the side to practice running on. And like a real bud jeff sat at the bottom watching. I had made a few passes and was just getting it under control when out of the corner of my eye i spotted this speed riding in on jeff. At that instant. I said no this will be fun if left alone sure enough he pulled up to jeff. And i could see that he had that ive been looking all over for you look on his face.then i seen jeff nod and off they went leaving me sitting on the hill. jeff looked back and gave me that ill be back look and off in to the sunset they rode straight for the hill. i thouht maybe i should go see how this will come out.but figured i would stay on my hill.after all this @ss whooping could be seen for miles.and sure enough it was over in a flash!!and i wont tell you how Bad it was but. I can tell you the next time i seen the guy and motioned to the hill he flipped me off turned and rode away as fast as he could.

He was a cocky lad wasn't he
He told me he had a bad start, but wouldn't race me again...I think because his buddy's where laughing at him for chasing me down, just to get spanked. (I am not putting down the Moto, awesome quad)just the surprised cocky rider that thought he was picking on just the average DS.

I rode one for a few hrs last weekend.
Thigs i liked...great throttle responce, lite bike pitch it anyway you want, handling.
Things i did not like...The seat was real hard, suspension was real stiff rode like a board, Its so lite that its hard to keep the front end down when sand drag.
It's fast but not fast enough! but with the moto maping and a slip on could be a diffrent story.
