Does anyone have an opinion on, or currently run Gecko Paddles on their DS.

I do. I wouldn't recommend them unless you were looking for something slightly better than stock tires. With all the power you spin them alot. I just tried some Extreme Haulers and I would go with them. Lots of hook up, hills I didn't make with the Geckos are no problem with the Haulers. If you don't drag, or climb big hills the Gecko's are a good ride, and easy to manuver. But if you want lots of hook up and want to climb long steep hills I would go with the Haulers.

yah , geckos are alright, their cheap, if you need paddles, but i would go with 20-21" tires, im going be probably switching 21x12x8 or 22x11x10

I agree with the other responses. I have extremes on now. they hook up like mad. but they are a little harder to spin the quad around then the standard haulers that I had on before. a friend of mine that I ride with has geckos on his rapter. he says they are kinda heavy.

It's really simple.. Geckos are garbage if you ask me. If you want strictly a straight line tire, get Haulers. If you want more of a play tire, get Edges but with one more paddle than what you would get if you were going to get haulers.

In other words, if you were going to get 8 paddle Haulers get 9 paddle Edges... so on and so forth. They'll still hook up good going straight and still turn

Hope this helps

I have some and they suck. Those outer fins suck bad. A few times when I have tried to spin it around they have caught traction and almost tipped the quad on its side.My next set will be extreme grips.

Every one that I know that had the crapo's (gecko's) hate them. I just went to 22X11X10 8 paddle extreme haulers and they are the bet tire I have had yet. Here is the run down of tires that I have had and my thoughts. Now the is just mt two cents.

21X11X10 8 paddle STU sand skate II: Best tire next to the extremes but still quite a bit heavier. They are now on the banshee and do really well.
20X11X10 8 paddle regular haulers: didn't last 5 rides the DS broke paddles off real easy.
21X11X10 STU stager cut padla brats: heavy but had good hook up.
22X11X10 8 paddle extreme haulers: The best tire by far. Great traction and floatation.
