I want to buy haulers only I can't decide what is best. All stock right now with a slip-on and k&n filter kit soon to come.
Thanks for the help. Will ride at Glamis this winter and at the Cinders this time of year.

It would depend on how fay you plan to mod. I love my 22-11-10 extreem 10 paddle. But if a pipe and k&n kit is all you plan to do I would go with 20-10-10 8 paddle extreems. If you plan to do more mods later then get the 22-11-10 10 paddle extreems and change your sprockes to 14/43. Just my opinion, I hope it helps.

I see your in Mesa. We have a group of 3-6 people that hit Glamis several times a year if your interested. Lat year sandsurfer and I went about 12 times.

I agree.

I have light mods (pipe, jet kit, K&N, CDI) and run the 20x10x10 8 paddle haulers.

People with engine mods usually run the 22's.

You'll find that the 22" paddles will offer much better floatation on the sand. I suggest sticking with 22's, and gearing for what ever mods you have[gear down if mild, remain stock with a stronger motor]. There is actually less parasitic loss from the 22's, once the gearing is corrected. 20" paddles tend to bury themselves easier and take more power to dig out of their own holes.

Phillip was a great domonstation of this at last years DS days. He had 20" paddles and was sinking on almost every take off. Phillip is a big guy[like many of us], so it showed the shortcoming more readily, but when he rode bikes with 22's, he didn't have the same sinking.

When I was looking into getting my paddles I found the 22-11-10 8 paddle haulers were the best choice for a lightly modded DS(pipe, filter, jetting,CDI). The only thing you might have to worry about with the 22's is hitting your heel guards. I went with the Diamond G heel guards and it works perfect.

I have the 20" Extreme Hauler in an 8 paddle. Sometimes if I stop on a uphill slope & start they spin, they go but they do dig. However when on flat ground racing & going up hills (without stopping on them!) they were fine. In fact when racing I had to get out of the gas in 2nd a few time because of the front end lift. I can see how 22's would float better, but I didn't feel like messing with the gearing.
I was "holeshotting" Raptors & a C'Dale a few times too
that's my experience.

Sean:

You won't believe the difference those will make over your old tires. Did you get some new gloves too?

Thanks for the Replies!!!
It sound like if I go with 22" tires they will hit the heel guards??? I wish they made 21".

I think I'm going with the 22x11x10 8 paddle??? $222.99 at Rockymountain on .160 wheels.
