Has anyone been on an outlander yet.Have read 2 or 3 reviews on it they rave about it.But would like to know what the real world thinks about it.I want something a little lighter in weight and sportier than my 500 AC.I would lose 100 ccs but gain a locker and better brakes.Any replies appreciated.

I've heard they won't arrive in the showrooms until anywhere from late September to mid-Novemeber(depending on the source!).

All-Terrain Vehicle magazine also had a review in the September edition. Excellent review though they did express some concern about the front suspension. It utilizes the same system as the Polaris Sportsman, but thought is was a little too soft on the Outlander. Still an excellent review - the Outlander sounds like an increadible machine. They also indicated that they thought the Outlander would be available larger engines (500cc to 700cc) in the next 12 to 18 months. can you imagine a 700cc, 580lb quad with IRS?

Cheers,

I have read the reviews also, looks very impressive. Looks like Bombardier is upping the antie as well. The other manufactures aren't going to like this one. I don't think they wil like the new Kodiak 450 either. Love the competion, we all benefit from it.

The more I read about the Outlander the more I like it. Of course my girlfriend wants one... Maybe I could get a deal. The dealers are all telling me different things, I read somewhere that it has been delayed twice. Can't imagine a 650 or 700 cc Outlander...

I had the chance to ride the Demo model at the local dealer meeting. The Outlander had good power and the seat is VERY plush. The suspension did seem a little soft to me compared to my DS. If you can get over those "Chevrolet Avalance" plastics, I think it will be a great sport/utility quad.
