I remember seeing a kit advertised somewhere for converting the old DS to DS Baja specs. I think it had a-arms, etc., and I thought the price was pretty reasonable. Anybody know anything???? Thanx!!

There is a new company selling a arms for a pretty good price. can get any color you want too. DSaholic has the a arms. i think it was $250 or so for just the uppers. All i did was buy a steering stabilizer and its cured the problem. Some people even say the baja doesnt have different a arms, just different tires make the difference. Sean

As far as the Baja having different A arms then the DS, they are defiantly not the same part and you can tell by just look at the two. Whether or not the geometry is different between the two, I don't know. I have also heard that the Baja has a different offset wheel which help.

I have a Baja and a 2001 DS. I took my XCT's off my DS and put them on my Baja. SO my Baja has the old wheels on it. Guess what? NO problem.
The A-arms are different and so is the geometry. That was a line of bullsh!t that the baja didn't have different geometry, that it was only the wheels....Just thought I would clear that up....
.....Everything that was wrong with the DS, including the shocks, is fixed on the Baja.

When we first bought the ds my dad talkd to the dealer who is also my mechanic about the new baja that jast came out, and at some point in the conversation the dealer sed that if we will give him 5000 shekels (the diffrence between the reguler ds and the baja, around a $1000), he will convert our ds to a baja, tires and evrything

Fourlix, Will the Baja Ds A-Arms fit the Stock DS?
So all I need to do is get the Baja DS a-arms and the steering twitchyness will be fixed. I have tried to adjust the toe in, but I haven't had a chance to try it out on a big down hill. Dou you have any other suggestion on how to fix the steering?

Thanks for the responses. As I recall, this conversion was FROM THE MANUFACTURER, and I was very surprised at the reasonable price. At the time, I noticed it because I was thinking that Bomb finally broke down and admitted that there was a problem with the front end geometry of the original DS! If so, shouldn't everyone get a retrofit FOR FREE!.

Anyway, I havn't found anything on their web site, and the dealers don't know what I am talking about. My friends who have DS's, do say that a change in tires/wheels, goes a long way toward curing the twitchie front end.

The offer was $99 and it was not for people that already owned one it was for those that were going to purchase one. Something like: Buy a DS650 and get it converted to a Baja for $99.

what i was told by my dealer was if you where buying a ds new .for only only 99$
you could get a brand new baja . so the baja was only 99$ more then the reg ds .
