I sold my 2000 DS650 about a mounth ago. I have been reading up on all the new ones. I was planning on a new 2003 Baja. Does it seem any different than the ds when riding it. I know the darty steering is better. I miss my DS and it's realiability. Is the baja a better quad. The dealer told me he would give it to me for $6999.00 plus tax. No set up or freight. good deal?

I dont know about in Pennsylvania, but I bought my 01 ds 650 brand new for 6126.73 or something. And in all the ds adds it says, "upgrade to ds650 baja: $99 when you buy a ds650"

and since the stock cost of a ds is $6,599 + 99 = 6,698...(plus all the stupid tax and license fee.)

But I would try to bargain him down a lot.
And go to a couple dealers and try.

But once again i got my ds for about 6,100 total (w/ tax and all that ether crap)
So look around

For that price tell him to through in the 4 year extended warranty. You will be very happy with that Baja.

I got my Baja a month after they came out for $6600. I would think they could still be had for that price. Matter of fact, there is one in the paper today, brand new 2002 Baja, never ridden(I believe it's a dealer) for $6699, and it even comes with a trailer!! Don't settle for the first thing you get, shop around.
