Alba Pipe Worth It
#1
I was talking to the Alba salesman about pipes. He quoted me $400 for the pipe, dyno jet kit, K&N filter. He also said to expect a 10-12 hp gain. Is this true. Are there better pipes for the money. It will be going on an '03 Baja. Another thing I ran across is in Rocky Mountain Atv, they sell Riccochet skid plates. They are .190 thick and built exactly like the DG ones for considerable savings. The full underbody and swing arm skid came shipped for $176 which saved me about $40 bucks. Just wanted to let you guys know. They also matched up great. The chassis skid wraps clear up the front also. (If you have a Baja you can just drill two holes in the front bumper to bolt. The work great.

I have a the alba pipe kit and i love it. The pipe works great, sounds great, and if you ever have a problem, alba will give you great customer support. (like 5 months ago they had a problem with there finish on there pipe, but they sent me a brand new pipe for no charge...No questions asked) They fixed the finish problem

Alba pipes do work good, form my experiance though I prefer HMF exhaust. The headpipe is smaller than the Alba and it seems to me and my two of my buddies that have had both all like the HMF. Either way you will see an increase in hp. I just feel the HMF has better response. Just my opnion, I'm sure other people with other pipes would disagree.

It's funny that they can say that much Hp. Have they changed the pipe any from the time they started selling it. Customer service is a -2 on a scale of 0 to 10. They have been known for many things. Even selling items as their own made by others or selling items and saying they are from one company and really they are made by a lessor known company. I would wait for a part via: pony express and not ride rather than buy from alba and they are just down the road. Experince is a good teacher.

I know someone with the Alba pipe for the Raptor, the performance seems okay (don't have any other Raptors to compare it too) but last time I looked, (a looong time ago, when it was a lot less than a year old) it had a lot of rust on it, I wasn't impressed, I certainly didn't want to spend that kind of cash for something that will be rusted in less than a year. How is everyone else's pipes holding up? I know DSRide's opinion already but how about other manufacturers? I know my E-Series looks as good now as the day I first installed it.

Look into the Trinity stage IV.I just installed mine and the power out put is there now. I'm very happy with the pipe and they do have great customer service. I've had business with most of the companies out here most of the stuff we want for the DS is made with in an hour from my home.So I've talked to most of them in person infact. Roll Design is in my town.
