Default I need an a-arm!! Can anyone help me.

I ordered a lower A-arm for my BAJA last week. They call me last night and tell me that it is on back order. They dont know for how long. I have to get this bike running soon. Does anybody know if the DS and the BAJA DS arms are the same? if so does anybody have some spares they would be willing to sell. Thanks.

I have a full set of standard DS a arms that I don't need any more. If you find out that you can use them let me know. Not to step on your feet bombrider but I am a little closer and the shipping would be a lot easier and cheaper.

Just get yourself some new a-arms aftermarket or hold out until someone says they have a Baja A-arm for you. The DS and Baja A-arms are completley different from each other. And you don't want to play mix and match either.

Angry Baja Boy is right. Don't mix up those old DS A-arms with your Baja A-arms. The steering geometry is all messed up on the old ones. I think you are just going to have to wait, or fix the old one.

Thanks for the info everyone! I caught a break and got one in yesterday from another dealer. I also emailed Bombardier. This is what they wrote me.

Mr. Abt,

Thank you for contacting Bombardier Recreational Products. After speaking with our technical specialist, the a-arms on the DS and the DS Baja are the same.

Trusting this information is to your satisfaction. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information. It will be our pleasure to look into any future requests.

Sincerely,
Peggy

I'm not sure if it is the 2002 or 2003 but they did change the arms on the DS to the same arms as the Baja. I saw one at my local dealer about three months ago.

Just so we keep this straight. The NEW , '02 & '03 DS and Baja have the same A-arms, it is the '00 &'01 DS that have the F#@ked up geometry. Avoid these stock a-arms at any cost, though the lowers work fine with Timmy Boy uppers.
