Does anyone know if the strikes at the docks are still going on. I have been waiting for some parts for about 3 weeks and my bom dealer was telling me about these stikes and how peoples' parts are just sitting right on the docks and no one is doing anything about it. Has anyone else ordered parts that come from japan or another country, and still haven't recieved them.

 

I go fishing in the San Francisco bay and there are about 10 cargo ships just sitting there. The news says the are back to work but prodution is way down due to dock workers saying they can't work any faster because of safety reasons.

 

My understanding is that even though they are working again, it'll take months to get back up to speed because of all of the backlogged cargo that was stacking up during the strike period. "Dock problems" is an excuse that is likely to be used for a while yet even if they do have things hammered out.
