Just let me know if you have done any head work on it if you have not I will not waste the 1800 on a port job when I can do alot of other mods to it and probaly get better results.

The stage 3 is much quicker than the stage 2. It will rap faster and higher. You will not start building any power till about 5500 RPM.
It will come on very quick up to 10,000. You need to replace the Stage 2 Cams .395, 284 with the .425, 287.

I only have stage one. So if I order the stage three kit I should ask for those cams? I would also get the stage 2 parts also when ordering stage 3

Get the bigger cams with the stage 2 so you don't buy them twice.

Its important that the level of port match with the type of cam you have. This produces a more broad torque curve and more overall power no matter what cams you choose.

I want to know how you are getting 11,000 RPM out of that motor without kissing a valve?! Those springs are rated to float out at 10,200 RPM. You aren't making any power past 7600 RPM anyway because that is were the top of the power curve is and I have what you would consider a Stage 2.5 kit. So the higher RPM's is just overkill on your motor. Even Vegas 650 only tacks his to I beleive 9200 RPM. And he has the Pami big bore. I have the 12:5:1 piston and the 287 .425 camshafts and no headwork done.

Snakehunter, im thinking about going to a stage 2 kit for rwr, i have no plans on going to the stage 3 any time soon, if at all, would you still stuggest getting the cams your talking about.

this is to everyone else, would you say to buy a stage 2 kit for rwr, or would i be albe to get more out of the ds form miss matching parts form different companys, like the cams for one place, the piston for somewhere else, and build a combonation that has better or more performance then just going with the rwr kit. maybe find a higher compression piston, a different cam, stuff like that, i dont really have any plans on going to the stage 3 or bore out hte motor, i was just wondering what everyone thought aabout that, but you can built it one piece at a time, or at least buy it one part at a time

Yes that is what Im think on doing because I can get the stage 2 for my DS cheap and when it is open I can have other things done such as litening of the crank, cryo some other parts etc. because I dont want to go big bore with all the problems everyone has had with Kutz and Pami with there motors and just sending my motor to Germany does not sit well with me. I want to be able to keep my parts in the usathat are being worked on.
