Slip on that meets these needss.. Is there one?

The FMF Power Core 4 is a slip-on(no mid-pipe). From what I hear, the FMF is a little quieter then the yoshi slip-on. If you are looking for the quietest pipe with a sparky, I think the FMF or leaving it stock is the way to go. When I went to pismo there were a couple of DS's out there with pipes, not sure what brand but mine was much quieter then theirs.

I really love the Yoshi, and it fits your original post description to the tee, and I know that from seeing pipe shootout dyno charts for multiple other bikes, the Yoshi full systems outperform most. I'm pretty sure their slip-on would be a top contender if a shootout was ever done on the DS too. Its about the easiest pipe to remove the end cap from too, for spark arrestor screen or quiet inserts. The core is also very easily and conveniently removed for repacking, as all pipes need.

I guess I'm the only one here running the Whitebros E-series slip-on. I think its a good looking silencer and I like the way it sounds...quieter than Pro Circuit's T4 especially for the people behind you since the exhaust exits around the circumfrence of the pipe instead coming out the end which results in a more diffused sound. I have high hopes that with the addition of 6 or more disks and jetting I'll find that "sweet spot". I got an unbeatable package deal at Jim's Sand Toys, in Waynoka Oklahoma. No dyno's to proove it against the competitors though...

Just remember that when your buying a fully decked out machine from Alba, that you ARE paying for those mods. Between the extra setup & misc. charges they add, you pay for it. However, you do get a very nice machine already set up & dialed in, which is a big bonus. Be sure to ask what they will sell you a completely stock unit for, you'll notice it is about the same difference in price as the cost of the parts they add onto the machine.
I don't believe any aftermarket pipe will meet the 93db sound limit as required by the Oregon Sand Dunes; I have a feeling that if you want to run there, you’d better run stock.
I too have the White Brothers E-Series pipe and I think it is excellent, the Fit & Finish is prefect, the power is good (I don't know how good, I have nothing to compare it too,) the sound is very livable and certainly doesn't hurt your ears after a ride. As for a sound comparison, the E-Series on my DS650 is much quieter than the White Brothers Mega-Alloy w/4 discs on my 1987 Mojave. (It seems rather odd that the machine with gobs more power makes less sound!)
