Default How do I get this seal back on my carb?

I took off my throtal cable and carb from my DS650. I got it all back together but that dang orange seal that went between the throtal cable cover and carb.. Any hints on putting it on? Do I need it??

When I put in my twist throttle I used a little grease to hold it in place when I put it back together.

I love the pure sports. I had the holeshot's and they worked a little better on the track but the bandits work better on the trails. And I mostly ride trails so they worked better for me. Whats your email, I'll send you some pics.
